Michelangelo created many drawings using red chalk which contains clay and other mineral compounds. Rose Quartz crystal is said to have healing properties and exude positive energy, attracting harmony and peace in both life and relationships. The word “neutral” literally means non-confrontational and unbiased so it is natural that it would imbue these feelings.

BARELY NEUTRAL - How to work the palette What is also so interesting about these "pinkish" barely neutrals is how they resonate against brighter shades. I am obsessed with recent Ready to Wear and Couture Collections from Fendi, where a soft pink vibrates beautifully with tomato red and minty sage green accents; making it contemporary and relevant.
In both modern and ancient architecture, the use of natural red clay and cement adds texture and warmth. I have long admired the play of light and shadow at the Pink Palace in Jaipur Rajasthan, which I visit during my regular work trips to India. Rajasthan is the region where many of the MVM hand knotted rugs are crafted by our skilled artisans. These "Barely there" shadowy neutrals are all around us. They inspire and work also work harmoniously in tonal palette combinations.
